SNORKEL & LEISURE FISHING On the way to the island, enjoy trawling and bottom fishing from the boat. After catching some fish, you'll head to the island to learn about the island's history, rules, and the surrounding waters. After a traditional Belizean lunch, you will have time to explore and enjoy the island. Then, get ready for an hour of snorkeling to see the beautiful coral gardens! HATCHET CAYE / SILK CAYE SNORKELING On the way out to Hatchet Caye, enjoy a stop at a beautiful reef to snorkel for about an hour, where your guide will point out many different species of sea life. After this first adventure, you'll head on to Hatchet Caye for lunch. After lunch, head out to your second snorkel destination at Silk Caye, where you have the opportunity to snorkel with nurse sharks, sea turtles and string rays. Lunch is not included in this tour; guests are invited to purchase food and beverages at the Grill on Hatchet Caye, at their own expense.

Our Journey begins with a 1hr drive to the Mayflower National Park consisting of over 7100 acres of lush jungle, refreshing waterfalls and ancient Mayan sites. We start off with a Hike for 20 minutes along the undulating jungle trail let our qualified guides educate you about the secrets of the rain forest. Rappel 100ft down Bocawina Falls and swim in the waterfall pool before heading back down the trail followed by Lunch at the Wild Fig Restaurant. Shortly after we gear up we’ll enjoy 7 total line including the longest zip line in Belize. You’ll enjoy amazing views from high in the tree tops!

ATM CAVES We’ll start with a 1 hour and 45 minute drive through the beautiful countryside to the village of Teakettle.  

From there, we’ll turn off into the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve and pass through mahogany groves and orchards.  

When we arrive at the trail, we hike through lush jungle for about 45 minutes before arriving at the caves.  

We’ll gear up before entering the caves where we’ll spend the next three hours hiking, swimming and exploring this sacred cave formation.

ALTUN MAYAN RUIN & CAVE TUBING Take a scenic drive through the hills of Belize to connect to Altun Ha Maya Ruin. Home to more than 275 structures, this ancient Mayan ceremonial, and a trading center built in 250 BC, the site was discovered in 1958. To date, depending on weather conditions, guests can still climb to the top of the temples to enjoy the view of the Belize rain forest. 

On the way back, stop for lunch before gearing up for a 10-20 minute hike to the caves, for a tube ride sure to awaken your sense of adventure. Float through mysterious limestone archways that beckon you into the mouths of centuries-old caves. Explore breathtaking formations designed by nature and learn about the rituals and ceremonies that are part of the caves' mystique and magic.

INNER REEF The fishes are biting better in the morning. This tour will bring you into the Inner Reef where we will catch some bait first before we get ready to catch some bottom feeders like snappers, groupers or jacks. Our guide will show you how to set the hook, cast and hold the rod to challenge any fishes. 

To catch some Barracudas, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and Bonitos we will also do some trawling. For lunch the boat will stop on one of the islands where you will enjoy a typical Belizean lunch.

 OUTER REEF Go for the bigger fish. Our boat will take us to the Outer Reef – to the second largest great Barrier Reef of the world. We will try to catch some Barracudas, King Mackerel Wahoo and Bonitos will also do some trawling. 

For lunch the boat will stop on one of the islands where you will enjoy a typical Belizean lunch. Once we will get back to the dock at Captain Jak’s the guide will prepare your catch of day to take it home or bring it to Omar’s which will prepare a delicious meal for you.

All fares and prices quoted are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change until full payment is received. Prices quoted are in USD and include GST of 12.5%.  

Arrival  

Please arrive 15 - 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure. If your departure is from your place of lodging, please be prepared to leave 15 - 20 minutes prior to your scheduled time. We cannot be held responsible for tours missed or incomplete due to late arrivals.  

Availability of Activities  

The activities and services offered are subject to availability and can be withdrawn without notice.  

Dates Not Guaranteed  

While we make every effort to ensure tours are held on the date requested, a variety of factors may require a change. Circumstances including, but not included to, weather and availability of guides and/or resources may impact the date requested. If the availability of your date changes, we will contact you as soon as possible and your tour will be rescheduled to a new date. If rescheduling is not an option, you may be offered credit towards another tour or a refund of any deposit paid.  

Cancellation by You  

We understand that your plans may change. If you need to modify or cancel your tour, please contact us as soon as possible. Should you need to cancel or reschedule a tour, we will first attempt to reschedule your tour to a different day. If that is not an option, we may offer alternative tours. If you contact us after the scheduled start of your tour or do not show up for your scheduled tour, no refund is available. If you cancel and do not replace the tour, a refund (less any fees) shall be offered in accordance with this schedule:  

  • Notification of 30 days or more prior to your scheduled tour date: full refund of any deposit paid 
  • Notification of 15 days or more prior to your scheduled tour date: refund of deposit paid less 50% fee 
  • Notification of 7 days or more prior to your scheduled tour date: refund of deposit paid less 75% fee 
  • Notification of less than 7 days: no refund available  
  • Weather Advisories / Partial Tours  
  • Sometimes weather conditions may make a tour permissible but not advisable. If we advise that your tour may not be completed due to pending weather, we will offer to reschedule to another day or suggest an alternative activity. If you elect to begin the tour, no refund or exchange will be made available if the tour is unable to be completed due to weather or conditions of nature.  
  • Cancellation by Us  
  • We reserve the right to cancel any tour prior to departure date for any reason including, but not limited to, insufficient number of participants, weather, or unavailability of equipment or guides. If that happens, we may offer an alternate date or activity of equal value. If you choose not to accept the alternatives, all refunds will be made accordingly and without further obligations. We shall not be held liability for any contingent costs incurred by you arising from the cancellation. You will receive a refund within 45 days following the scheduled departure date. We will not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, or costs sustained by you.
