COVID-19 Update

Updated November 3, 2020:

To our Captain Jak’s family and friends,

Welcome back!

We are committed to ensuring Captain Jak’s remains a safe, clean, and fun environment – so we’re ready for you when you are ready to travel.

The Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize reopened to international tourists on October 1.  You’ll want to check for updates before making your travel plans (and again for updates right before your trip).

We are excited to welcome our international visitors to Belize!  As a Gold Standard Tour Operator we are approved to assist with your tours during Phase III of Belize’s reopening.

We are also excited to welcome guests on property as a Gold Standard Resort approved by the Belize Tourism Board!

Here is what we are doing to make your experience with us safer:

  • Our staff have received additional (and on-going) training on cleaning and sanitizing procedures as well as health and safety standards.
  • We have implemented mandatory masks and social distancing for staff and guests, and installed additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the property (we’ll also have sanitizer in the vans and boats when you go out on tour).
  • We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing schedules and procedures.
  • We have been approved as a Gold Standard Tour Operator and a Gold Standard Resort by the Belize Tourism Board.

You can read more in our Health & Safety Plan, which is a summary of our efforts.  Questions about our plan or any COVID-19 related questions can be directed to our Gold Standard Program Manager, Anna Cassasola.

We’re here for you and eagerly look forward to welcoming you back as soon as it’s safe to travel!

From our family to yours, stay safe and healthy!
