To our Captain Jak’s family and friends,

We miss you!  We hope you’re staying home, healthy, and safe during this challenging time.

We are committed to ensuring Captain Jak’s remains a safe, clean, and fun environment – ready for when we can gather together again.

We are anxious to welcome our international visitors back as soon as possible.  We had hoped to do that with tours beginning in August, but the opening of the Philip Goldson International Airport has been delayed and we don’t have a new reopen date.

Here is what we are doing to make your future experience with us safer:

  • Our staff have received additional (and on-going) training on cleaning and sanitizing procedures as well as health and safety standards.
  • We have implemented mandatory masks and social distancing for staff and guests, and installed additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the property (we’ll also have sanitizer in the vans and boats when you go out on tour).
  • We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing schedules and procedures.
  • We are in the process of obtaining our Gold Standard Certification from the Belize Tourism Board.

We are implementing a Health and Safety Plan which will summarize our efforts.  Questions about our plan or any COVID-19 related questions can be directed to our Gold Standard Program Manager, Vanessa Daly.
